Summer Update

Well it has been a few weeks full of adventure, and lots of miles racked up on the car!

For starters, the "Lambec Babes" took over PNC park for an evening.  I absolutely love these girls (and Matt :P)!

We got some cool air-brush tattoos!

Celebrated Matt's birthday!!

And ended up on TV!!

Tuesday, we moved my little brother into his dorm! I think he's going to have a great freshman year, and I am so glad he'll be living so close to me, I just hope he can handle city living.

Finally Friday!

It's been a such a busy week! I was fortunate to get a chance to catch up with a bunch of different friends! Lunch Monday with Tyler, milkshakes Tuesday with Erin (and a tour of her fabulous new apartment), shopping spree with Adam Wednesday (and dinner with Rich!).  Yesterday, I hit up the outlet mall with my entire family, then saw some extremely talented friends from New York perform in a local coffee shop (then we had milkshakes again... ha!) I'm seriously so in love with life right now!

shopping feet!

dinner with the boys :)

I'm going to leave you with my ten for today! Enjoy this lovely summer weekend! (Only a few more of them left!

Happy Weekend!

Hopefully you're having a wonderful start to your August!
August might be my favorite month! I love that it is still summer, but August always brings a fresh restart with a new semester!  I cannot wait to get moved back into my dorm, and start school again! (Yikes! I thought I would never say that!)

I started my August with a lovely lunch at Hello Bistro- they seriously have the best salad bar!
So yummy!

I loved spending some time relaxing on the back deck today!

Aaaand I hosted a quaint little backyard movie night. Hooray for TONS of popcorn and Wes Anderson films!  Moonrise Kingdom is still one of my absolute favorite movies, do you love Wes Anderson movies??

Hair Cut.

Hair.

One of my favorite topics.  Fortunately, I really love my natural texture, and don't often do more than a wash-and-wear look aside from special occasions (most of which is me crying over a curling iron, having failed miserably to do anything).  However, I stalk and obsess over hair tutorials and blog posts! I think one of the keys to good hair is just getting a really flattering cut and choosing a color that complements your skin.

I was desperately in need of a trim after looking through camp photos and wondering where all of my layers had gone!? (No wonder it had been so easy to keep my hair in a braid!)

As for my styleee: I have always been a bangs girl. ALWAYS. 1990s Proof:

I had a phase (a 5 year phase) of keeping my hair very short (like chin length short), but after my junior year of high school I decided to just let my hair grow and see how long it would get! 2+ years later and today I had my first proper hair cut since the decision to grow! (I'm not counting the numerous times I trimmed my bangs in the bathroom mirror, nor the botched Ellie Golding inspired undercut tragedy of 2011.)

The before and after photos:

TADA! It wasn't a very drastic cut, mainly just a trim.  I'm planning for a short hairstyle in the near future, so keep posted!  I'm also really loving the look of these bangs with a bun! (also, more selfies).
